Melvan's Excellent Adventures
Welcome to Melvan's Excellent Adventures. Through this site we hope that family and friends can keep up to date with our overseas trip. We leave on Wednesday, October 4th, 2006 bound for Thailand. Then we are off to London to live and work for about 6 months before setting off to travel Europe. We plan to post photos and information from our adventures. Hopefully this will avoid us having to send out those group emails that everyone loves. Please leave comments if you wish or email us.

Melvan's Excellent Adventures

Ev and Mel,
Some great snaps, you're really haveing a great run with the celebs over there .. first Wayne Carey and now you've caught up with George Michael for a beer .... hahaha.. good work Rhys.
Kristen and I have made our way to the wild west, Coral Bay WA to be exact. Over here for two weeks holiday, spent the first week with friends in Mandurah and Perth, caught up with Nick Ryall who is working his ring off to establish his myotherapy business.
Coral Bay is stunning. White sandy beaches, turquoise water, the amazing Ningaloo reef at your doorstep and baking hot 35 degree plus temperatures. Barely any development. The 'town' consists of a shopping mall, caravan park, tour operators and the motel where we are staying.
Just got out of the water after snorkelling with reef sharks and turtles. The Turtles were entrancing, one was sleeping curled up amongst some coral while the other was happy as larry for us to swim alongside him.
The Festering trip was a success, despite the low numbers. Tommy, Doods and I had a ball. Tommy regained the silver back.

Judge that you are getting a little slacker on the Blog, with pictures, not text.... pull your socks up. Just kidding, it is great to see the pics also.
who are the random blokes in the pick on the stair case, dont tell me you are up to your old tricks of opening peoples doors and taking photo's of their stair cases evan....
I have and exam tomoz night and a test next tues and then im over for the year, unsure if i will continue, to stressful with work etc.
well i look forward to viewing the updated blog soon.

Just got our computer back again, quite sick, required major clean up and format etc.Lovely to see your photos, looks to me you are having the time of your lives. I hear that the both of you are in for a very exciting time at Christmas. Mum's the word looking forward to seeing all your wonderful photos, keep them coming. Keep well and look after each other.

Sounds like you guys are having a fantastic time in the sunshine. Well it's getting colder and colder here!
Ev has had the dreaded lergy all week, here's hoping I don't get it. Say g'day to Nick for us. I just smiled as I remembered his happy face!
Cam not sure if mentioned to you how bloody fantastic Little Britain was - the funniest thing I've seen. Best part was that they just ad lib the whole way through - hysterical!!!
Hope Jodie and Ev's wedding was a blast.

Mel - sorry about the drunken phone call, hope we were not too annoying or echo-ey considering I was calling from the Bended Elbow dunnies!
Hope all is well over there. You will be pleased to know we both recovered with our eyebrows still in tact following our Hen's & Buck's do's! Matt aka 'Where's Wally' was a little worse for wear late afternoon but made a comeback similar to the great G.Ablett. I think I kept myself rather nice despite a few of the girls trying to put me away. Lots of daggy dancing, lots of laughs and a heap of fun.
Not long now - 12 days of work left and counting!! Hope you guys are well and not too cold brrrr. Have a ball in Milan - Ev, keep her away from those shops!

Hey Mel and Ev, Love the pics! Looks like you are having a great time still, I'm jealous! Well thought you might like a little news from my homefront. Not quite as exciting as your trip but any news from home I'm sure is good for you both. Well I got 2 jobs in Kindergartens for next year, REALLY EXCITED!!!!! I will be working with 3yr olds, so cute, for 12 months and possibly ongoing. I am applying to uni also to get my early childhood qualifications. Lots happening. Mel......SSSSShhhhhhhh, I have also been seeing a very nice guy, early days yet but I will keep you informed....who knows!
Mel, your mum and dad looked after the kids for me one night also, the kids had an absolute ball, they loved spending the time with them and your mum and dad really helped me out, I hope the kids didn't tire them out too much. :)
I really like being able to check in to see how you are going. Enjoy guys and I will chat again soon.
