Melvan's Excellent Adventures

Welcome to Melvan's Excellent Adventures. Through this site we hope that family and friends can keep up to date with our overseas trip. We leave on Wednesday, October 4th, 2006 bound for Thailand. Then we are off to London to live and work for about 6 months before setting off to travel Europe. We plan to post photos and information from our adventures. Hopefully this will avoid us having to send out those group emails that everyone loves. Please leave comments if you wish or email us.

Farewell / Grand Final Party

Melvan would like to say a huge thanks to all those who came along to our Grand Final / Farewell Party on Saturday as well as those who couldn't make it but sent their best wishes. We had a great day as it appeared many others did as well.

I am typing this very excitedly the day before we leave - hard to believe after all this time it is so close. I will endeavour to add photos to this post soon. I am working off a Mac (they look good but don't know how to use them - thanks Marg and Pete). Some great shots and I suppose some not so great later in the day.

Thanks heaps again for a fantastic send off!!! Well done to those who travelled and those who took the plunge a got out of their fish bowl (Flybes). We will remember it fondly on our adventures!!!!

Thanks to Wendy and Garry (Ev's Mum and Dad) for their support in making it a great day by assisting with the finger food, etc.

A special big thanks to Glenda and Tony ( Mel's parents - Tony was the really drunk guy with white hair; Glenda was the one cleaning up after us all all day). They have been extremely generous looking after us for the past few months since we moved in; more than we ever expected. They have also put up with Evan's (that's me) crap and constant stirring - although Glenda really loves it. We will miss not having our lunches made and having our washing done (and the rest ....) while we are OS!

Anyway I am sure there is something that I need to do before we leave so I better get to it. I will get onto those photos soon, so keep checking this site. Melvan hope to update it regularly.

Love ya work
Melvan
